Prime Trust, a one-stop shop for fintech innovators
Rapid growth in the cryptocurrency and crowdfunding markets has created the need for a modern financial infrastructure that enables the fast, secure, and reliable movement of digital assets.
Prime Trust has emerged as a fintech market leader, with financial service APIs that provide a unified solution for everything from blockchain payments and liquidity to compliance and settlements. The company, developed by a team of financial industry veterans, is already supporting more than 300 crypto-currency platforms and facilitating more than $1.5 billion a month in transactions.
At the heart of the Prime Trust platform is a software-as-a-service model that enables users to easily customize APIs and widgets. The core platform includes seven proprietary API solutions that provide back-end functionality for traditional assets including USD, stocks, and bonds, and digital assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, NFTs, tokenized securities, and more. This is the foundation for an institutional infrastructure to support the implementation of new crypto innovations.
In addition to the company’s rapid growth, the Prime Trust team has the right combination of digital vision and traditional banking know-how to become a financial infrastructure powerhouse. The Prime Trust team includes industry veterans with experience at companies such as JP Morgan, Visa, DocuSign, BitGo, Goldman Sachs, BCG, American Express, OCC, SEC, Federal Reserve and Neustar. Led by CEO Tom Pageler, the organization understands the currency ecosystem from fiat to crypto and its regulation, and they have already demonstrated their ability to integrate traditional financial tools with blockchain technologies.
Since launching in 2016, Prime Trust has grown rapidly and is on track to solidify a market position much like Visa and Mastercard hold in the traditional financial ecosystem, and has the potential to become a fintech powerhouse in the decentralized finance (DeFi) economy. That’s why we participated in Prime Trust’s Series A funding round.
We believe that both traditional finance and DeFi will play important roles in the lives of consumers. We will also be able to learn from Prime Trust and its portfolio of fintech clients, who are the innovators building the next wave of solutions to deliver better consumer finance experiences.
The timing is perfect for Prime Trust to continue riding a wave of phenomenal growth in the development of crypto, wealth tech, and alternative trading systems. We’re betting the company is going to be a big winner when it comes to providing the infrastructure to provide turn-key support for nontraditional financial markets and digital assets.
